The POWER of Video Content: Case Study

Video content is increasingly becoming the content type of choice!

Does this worry me as a copywriter? No!

Why? Well even if clients turn more towards video content they will still need written content! Thank of a video script, subtitles, blog posts that explain the video in greater detail, web copy to grab visitor’s attention once they have clicked through to a client’s website after watching a video. As a Content Marketer, the rise of video content does not worry me the slightest!

Did you know:

  1. Online video accounts for 74% of all online traffic (KPCB).
  2.  55% of people watch videos online every day (MWP).
  3.  65% of video viewers watch more than ¾ of a video (Syndacast).
  4.  85% of Facebook video is watched without sound (Digiday). - Which is why you need subtitles!

The video marketing infographic further down the page has a lot more detail which might just make you want to jump in front of, or behind the camera, sooner rather than later!

iPhone Video case study

Below is a quick case study of how video can enhance your content marketing endeavours. S.E. Rentals has been a client since 2014 and they recently relaunched their SiCO App which provides greater functionality and efficiency for equipment vendors using finance to enhance their sale offer.

The video is a simple yet effective way of showcasing the App’s new features. Produced by Inlumino Communications, the video:

  • Features S.E. Rentals team members
  • Recorded on my iPhone
  • Edited and produced using Filmora.

It was so effective that S.E. Rentals’ Business Development Manager forwarded this feedback on the video and its effectiveness when incorporated into thier current Social Media strategy.

“I just wanted to pass on some great feedback. I have received two phone calls this week from potential equipment vendors that had seen the SiCO App video that we recently launched and were keen to hear more about our services. The result was face to face meetings with both on Tuesday and Wednesday. Dave and I are particularly enthusiastic about the second appointment, as they have a large opportunity looming that we were able to quote on immediately. Just wanted to let you know that social media + good company reputation is putting us in a very good light.”
